Dropped the car off at the bodyshop today, went with my grandad and as a result ended up with some extras being done for free ;)

When I got there so far they've done this, progress will be moving fast this week, and I hope to have it out for wednesday's Leeds meet, but it could be thursday, which gives me NO prep time for edition :(

Been continuing with the little bits I can do at home whilst the car is away,

grill has been primed and ready for paint tomorrow...

Went down to see how things are getting on.

Number plate holes have been removed, and they were just starting on the recess whilst I was leaving. Bonnet should be welded today..

Also, look what FINALLY arrived after 2 months!!!!

One of them needs a bit of work, but I'm sure a good refurber can get them looking back to new, well better than new actually :ninja:

Very nice. I love the front bumper with no recess - IMO a better look than smoothed bumpers. Where do you put your number plate though? On brackets?

Spot on wheel choice too.

Cheers,

Here's where my number plate goes ;)

Thanks Joe for this pic,

Right well all the bits are back in now! Got aload more parts coming from germany, strut brace, seats etc etc :)

There are a couple of imperfections, but you wouldn't notice them unless I pointed them out to you, just waiting on the spray paint now so I can get those visors and handles done!!

Something nice arrived today from Germany!

Aluminium strut brace to get the back filled up a bit! Got it mainly to protect my sub from my suitcase etc when I'm driving back and forth from uni, but it will tie in quite well with the interior theme I'm going with!!!

One question though, how do I fit it? I understand I need to drill through the turret and then bolt it in, but how do I get the nut to the inside of the turret for the bolt to go into?

Gave the car a real good clean today.

Polished with Autoglym Super Resin Polish, then waxed with Meguiars Tech Wax, then re-waxed with Dodo Juice Red Mist.

Outcome was pretty good!

Sorry to keep you for more than a week without an update ;)

These badboys are on there way to me. Should be with me in about a week, and then I'll determine how I go about fitting them.

They are leather, recline, and have fibre glass backs.

P.S. they won't be black leather for long ;)

So here's another update!!!

Got a show cage! Well happy with it, didn't want one until next year but I spotted this for sale on here and had to have it!

Thanks alot to Wellse (ed) for giving me the headsup, and to Neil who I bought it from!

Was a bit of effort to get in, especially trying to line everything up but a few hits with the hammer and it went in ok.

False floor needs modding a bit as the flanges do foul on it in some areas but this will all be sorted over xmas when I retrim the floor.

Here are some pics, ties in really well with the strut brace IMO!

So my seats finally arrived :D

Just realised, they also tilt, so they are perfect!!

I won't be fitting them until xmas, as I'm having some custom work done to them, so I found an alternative use for them in the mean time!!

Gaming chairs for Mario Kart!

Also, motorway driving mode! Everyone keeps asking, "is your bumper broken?"

31102009640.jpg

And finally, for now, picked up these the other day for something through winter.

13" original steels, with caps, with almost new continentals....£30!!!

I will be refurbing these up next week so keep an eye out ;)

So today I dropped the wheels off at Rainbow Polishing in Oldbury.

They will be ready by Saturday/Monday, only for me to stare at them over winter :(

Before I took them down, I thought I should give them a quick test fit, as I hadn't yet done that.

Car also fell off the widow maker in the process, which pissed me off!

I'm back!! With an update, as per usual!

It's a shame the pictures aren't quite so amazing but will take some better ones once I've put the rivets and caps on!

If anyone saw the condition of these before, you wouldn't believe they are the same wheels!

Enjoy the pics.

Well I bought these steels a couple of months ago, mainly for the nearly new continentals that were on them.

You know me, I'm an attention seeker, as if I could ever drive round on some silver steels????

So this happened...Took advantage of my uni house and sprayed them indoors.

Got the seats in just before the New Year.

Really pleased with how they look. Having custom frames made up in the next few weeks when I feel like forking out £260 for them!
