Pics from the Leeds meet the other week.

Excuse the dirt, the car has not been properly cleaned since September ( Westside show )

Also, ignore the broken splitter, I have a new one at home for show use only!

£280.00 later and I have rubber! Will hopefully be going on the wheels on Monday.

Pretty rare and sought after size too!

Very hard to come by which is why people often settle for 195/45's, but I didn't want to settle for second best and made sure I got these tyres or no tyres at all!

Here's a sneaky pic or two!

I only fitted one side, as I couldn't be arsed fitting the other because I hate jacking cars up! Also it would be pointless as I was taking them straight back off!

By the way, ignore the glue. I still need to clean it, and it makes the wheels look alot smaller than they actually are aswel!

The backs can be wound down another inch, but the front is all the way down :( So I may have to look into removing my helper springs.

Right, this is a picture I wasn't going to upload, but fuck it!

This is basically how the car will look in a month or so from the outside. Every last little detail is there!

Looks sick and I'm not a big fan of 6N2s on 14s, gonna space out the rears a little?

Cheers mate :)

Just bought some 15mm hubcentrics for the rear!

Should solve this problem:

Got a couple of bits through the post today!

Some Copper grease for the coilovers and spacers:

IMG_0457.jpg

A couple of paint brushers for the brakes:

IMG_0458.jpg

And finally some spigot rings. The centre bore of the Cults is 63.4mm so it needed bringing down to 57.1:

Right today I picked up my centre caps!

Custom machined from scratch in solid aluminium, which has then been mirror polished to the same shine as my wheels!

They're also pretty theft proof, as they are screwed on from behind! This is vital considering they cost me just over £50 each, and I had 5 made!

I have to say, the quality of the work and the fit and finish is superb...better than original RSL spikes, as mine are metal!

I got the wheels on today! Big thanks to Rohit for coming round in the cold, and helping me paint my brakes and sort my stance etc :)

He also has a secret about the picture below which he isn't going to tell anyone

I really need to learn to take pics. I've got a Canon 1000D SLR but I'm so shit with it :(

Gotta be jacked up on the rear, especially with the helpers still in.

You sure about that James?

It's been this low before remember ;) I admit these pics are on 13's, but they're on balloon tyres :p

Right then, picture time!!!

I wasn't in the mood to take pictures, because the wheels pretty much got destroyed by some idiot at the car wash. I told him not to touch the wheels, and then right infront of my face he starts spraying the chemical shit all over them!

Almost went ape shit.

I rushed home, and got the Meguiars Metal Polysh out which saved them, and have made them even shinier than when I first had them done, so I'm happy about that!

This got me back in the mood to take pics!

It's the first time I've properly done a shoot with my camera ( Canon 1000D ) and I think they've come out very nicely!

I know the tyres aren't blackened but I totally forgot because I'm a clown. Rivets will be in tomorrow aswel.

I didn't have time to go to any extravagent location as the sun was coming in, so just went to Alexander Stadium round the corner from our uni house.

Anyway, picture time.....let the hate begin!!!

Right, I've just finished the rivets!

Look proper nice now they're on and they've completed the wheels!

IMG_0525.jpg

IMG_0527.jpg

Also, sorted out the ones that snapped and replaced them!

IMG_0528.jpg

Since the wheels were off decided to fit some locking nuts!

IMG_0524.jpg

Now it's time to re-polish the wheels before the Mids Dub Club meet tonight! :)

Low enough for you?

This happened after only a 2 mile drive with some Asda shopping bags in the back! For the whole journey the arch was actually sat on the tyre, and the tyre was smoking hot when I got back home!

I think I need to raise the back up about 5mm until I get the arches rolled!

Right well I have some pictures to share. Not sure where they came from but many thanks to those who took them :)

I never usually have pictures of my car taken at shows, but the first outing with the Cults has changed that. Got lots of pics from various sources so here they all are!

A lot of rain and a lot of laziness has really taken it's toll on my wheels!

They looked like an absolute state, but I could never be bothered to clean them.

Today I finally got my arse into gear after continuously being told off by Ed (detailing whore) and got them done!

Took me over an hour of polishing and I'm completely fucked now but it was worth it! Still need to raise the rear coilovers but that can wait until tomorrow!

Nothing exciting here. Just another before and after of the wheels.

I've not cleaned the wheels for around 6 weeks, so they were in a real bad way. Completely black until I wiped them down the other day.

Lost a bit of interest in the car but some major respect for the wheels whilst out and about in Birmingham got me in the mood again. Managed to do one side, I'll do the other tomorrow because it takes around 45 mins per side.

This is an understatement of how they looked before I started. Was hard to catch the extent to which the dirt was stuck in the grooves with the pictures:

Found this hanging down from under the car, so off it came :)

Must have taken a fair whack, the split is huge! I think it is some sort of cover which fits just under neath the timing/fan belt.

I love Meguiars :)

This lot came through the post today! As soon as I get the car back on Friday going to give it a good wash! Not cleaned the car at all since being back in Leeds (2 months) and it would be rude to give a dirty car to the bodyshop :p

IMG_1094.jpg

Also cannot wait to start using this when the car comes home! The look and feel of it is amazing, especially as it's 3D so you can feel the weave :p!

So today I picked up my car after having most of the interior re-fitted.

I still have to collect the dash, seats, front door cards and need to re-trim the false floor!

I am not revealing the colour until it is all done, but you get the idea of what the trim is about ;)

BTW, Ignore the poverty spec Polo 6N temp seats :)
