These are my actual seats which are currently stripped down awaiting re-coverage

This forum is about VW Polo's. People join the forum because they like polo's, some of the people even like other makes of cars. Every section of this forum is here for people to post about their cars and more specifically their Polo's.

Build threads are about the build of the car not a general chit chat between people. If that’s what people what to do then use the off topic (if you can), MSN, Facebook or one of the other million ways you can chat these days, or even PM .

Off Topic was created (again) as members wanted it and its there for people to post up stuff about what popcorn they like and chat. If you like chatting to people on this forum then that’s the place to do it. Yes you have to pay, but it's one of the benefits of being a member. If you don't want to pay (and no one is forcing people to) then use one of the other forms of communication that I've listed above.

Its fine for people to post up comments about the car and state if they like it or not. Unfortunately in the 'Great Indy Cleardown of 2010' some of these posts got removed. It doesn't meant that they don't like the car anymore it’s just was the quickest and easiest way to clear the tread up.

A handful of off topic stuff is fine As long as the bulk of the thread is on-topic but when it comes to pages and pages of just general chat then its not. With your thread it was 80+ pages which got condensed down to 4. Now you could say it was rather brutal, but it does just show how much crap there was in it that didn’t relate to the car.

So please keep the car build thread about the car. Unfortunately for you as this thread is on the radar us mods/admin and we will be keeping an eye on it, but that’s not to say that there are not other threads on here that are just as off-topic its just that we haven't seen them. But if members report them (which is how your thread was highlighted) then we will look and if appropriate take the same action as we have here.

Please keep posting stuff about your car as it looks to be a real beauty.

Probably the only 6n2 i like on here,

Not just because of the stance , colour and wheels

but because of the huge attention to detail and the amount of effort thats gone into it.

It also seems that no corners have been cut when trying to get it looking the way it does.

For example shelling out £250 for the centre caps, Just 5 small bits of alliminium at then end of the day, but finish the rims off perfectly.

Keep it up!

Cheers mate, I don't use the car too often so it should be okay, but I can imagine it sometimes being annoying having to "pinch" the handles.

Atleast it'll stop all those little scratches that usually occur behind the handle :)

The trimmer is waiting for me to come down, bit of a pisstake I've been trying to get down since collecting my stuff from Darren on Monday but have no way whatsoever of getting down, and being busy at the temple all weekend doesn't help!

I think I'll be going down on Monday, I don't care what the quote is he's doing it because I really can't be arsed anymore just want it done haha!

Also remembered that I've still gotta do the carbon roof when it comes out, gonna be busy times next week!

Bodywork pretty much finished.

Just the petrol flap needs doing but I am dropping off a spare to get done, because they don't want to keep the car in for longer just to do a petrol flap.

Was being polished when I took these pics, also needs the bonnet and handles re-fitting.

Roof is smoothed out ready for carbon application, no point painting it if it's going to be covered.

Colour pics aren't available right now, so you'll have to wait for those.

TBH it's pretty hard to tell what's being done in these pictures but I'll take some better ones when I get it back probably tomorrow.

Yeah mate he will do, we're just finding a match.

My mate rang Darren pretending to be a customer to find out where he got the material from, so my new guy requested a sample from them which is arriving on Thursday/Friday so I am hoping that we've got the right one!

Will try get the carbon roof done tomorrow aswel!

Need them trimmed as soon as possible so I can sit in them once again! Been an absolute killer driving without them because everyone thinks that the shit poverty spec 6N seats are my 'actual' ones.
