Do 6n2 door pins go flush to the door trim when locked?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Just wondering do 6n2 door pins go flush to the door trim when lock like on TT's and Mk4 Golfs etc. As I want to change my 6n ones so no theiving $%^&!£$ can lift my door pins to get in.

Cheers,

Mahbs

Shorten them? Easy. They only screw on, cut off the bottom and drill into the base and pop em back on! lol, just enough so when the doors locked they sit flush. :)

how do you open them from the inside if you accidentally lock it or something?

You can't unless you get a reliable central locking kit with a button on the inside. I've been wanting to do this for ages. I've even got a 6n2 button with elecy windows, just been a bit lazy!

If you could get hold of the mechanism from a Golf or a New Polo, where pulling the door handle opens the lock..I'm sure that could be fitted.

I've got rear wind up windows soif it broke i could wind that down and climb out lol
