Someone has offered me a springs and shocks kit but says one of the bumpstops is screwed but says that i can use the ones already on my car... is this correct??? No offence to that certain someone, just thought I'd best check!

You're likely to need them more often,and they deteriorate with age,so new ones are advised. Standard spec are fine,as said.
