I want to raise the rear suspension the polo up a notch or two as I want to get rid of the arse down stance. I have spring compressors and the necessary tools, so can anyone see any reason why I couldn't just compress the springs, raise the circlip up and uncompress the spring?

it wont work cos you cant compress the spring enough to get the room required to move the circlip. it tried and found the only way is to take the rears off. my car still has its ass on the floor and I've already adjusted it once and cant be bothered to do it again!

Ahh well, the rear's aren't tricky anyway. An hours job (off, raise, on) at the most.

i think i'd prefer to have all of my limbs in tact and take the long way round!

Having the back higher then the front can it affect the ride comfort?

Actually, that's the wrong attitude isnt it.

Coilover conversion kit for the front I think, lets lower the front to match :p

PhilJ just sent me some new rear shocks today and I've set them the same height as the original ones,

how long do they take to settle. i have nose down stance.

Mine took a couple of drives on fairly bumpy roads to settle fully.

i thought so but nice to know, cheers
