Pug 205 Roland Garros Track car

Featured Replies

This is the car that i thought could replace the 'loon... obviously it couldn't so I'm buying the loon back :-D Parents have allowed me to have both on the driveway!

Bought it way back in sunny june, came stripped out with buckets shonkily mounted, and lots of wheels and tyres. We picked up an OMP 10pt cage from demon tweeks as the car was in Wrexham, and a few other bits, and I've spent the past few months turning it into a little track toy.

Spec at the moment is:

Lowered 30mm all round on spax shock/springs.

Stripped out.

OMP 10pt Cage

Bucket seats.

Harnesses.

Straight through exhaust system

Pipercross filter.

KN Performance Jets (for carb that is ;))

UK Rallye steels with Avon ACB10s

Uk Rallye steels with Michelin Slicks.

Coming very soon:

GTi Brakes.

Polycarb windows.

Bike carbs,

lumpy cam.

4 branch manifold

Ported head.

That's cool. I'd love to be able to do that. It's been a dream of mine to have a second Polo as a track car. Money, a drive, time and knowledge/ skill always get in my way.

Thanks :)

I'm lucky enough to have a dad who's into cars as well, so he's funding this one.

I love 205s. I was lookin for a roland garros as an alternative to a GTi. Good interiors for a pug, not that it matters for your car!

Matt black. Lots of runs, cage is and absolute child born out of wedlock to spray :( Oh well... easily corrected!

My sister's started prepping the interior as well :) Paint on that in the next few days hopefully!!

cool project dude!

and yeah, roll cages are a full on pain in the arse to spray! i did mine back in the summer on my garden. didn't get too many runs, but i missed a couple bits  luckily you cant see those bits when its in the car

a slightly familiar sight...

I missed a fair few bits as well first time round. Annoying! :p

I also managed to zinc primer half the driveway!

Bet dad wasnt happy. He gave off about black paint oversprayed on the garage door. As if that's a big deal when it's rusted to shit lol
