Grill Replacment

Featured Replies

I know this is a stupid question, but I'll ask anyway...

Just bought my first ever car and having never done any work on a vehical before I was wondering if someone would be kind enough to let me know how exactly I'd go about replacing the grill on a 6N Polo? I'd go buy a haynes manual but my local shop has been out of stock for weeks and I'd really like to get it put on asap.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me :-)

Heh heh, simple stuff mate. All you need to do is pop the hood and look at the grille, you'll see some clips that need to be pushed down to pop out the grille and then you can just snap in a new one, should be a 3 minute job

First off thanks Jim, got the original grill off easy as pie once I knew what I was looking for :-)

Now I've got another question of anyone who's got a mesh grill...

the grill has just arrived and it doesn't use the standard clips to fit to the vehical It has 3 screw fixing points on it and when I position it it seems to stand proud of the surrounding bodywork, so I just wanted to check that it's the right grill b4 I go putting holes in my polo.

Again, Many thanks for any info you can give :-)
