ok so i have standard speakers in my 6n and a kenwood headunit kdc-4060rg i have the manuals if i need to look to see if it has something ? anyways back to the point i want some bass not expensive just a good quility setup for a full sound not super load or anything just nice lol

do i need an amp?

been recomended base tubes with built in amp as i would be taking it in and out of th car quite alot as i carry bikes about quite abit

is there a better option buget about 100 but i will be buying 2nd hand so ebay it up with links if you want

If your after a bass tube, then look for a vibe. Also depends on how you like your bass and what you listen to, light and punchy dance music you will want a sealed enclosure. IF you want lots of low extension then you want a ported box. If you want a bit of both then a bandpass.

If you get an active bass tube such as the vibes then you wont need an amp. If you go for a separate sub you will need an amp.

I think you'll find that sealed boxes can drop low too depending on size of the enclosure.... ported do drop harder though... more bass extension around the selected frequency for box tuning..... as for bandpass... dont buy the vibe ac series.. i had one for about a week and sold it.. was totally dissapointed. It dropped well but only with a very small minority of songs. bandpass can be very effective if the enclosure is built correctly (less room for mistake in comparison to ported or sealed)... i think the main factors are budget and how much space u have...hope that helps and just wanted to say the jbl woofers are great on a budget!
