Well basically I took the G into work yesterday to fit some new front pads to it and while I had it on the ramp I thought I'd quickly fit the front brace,umm didn't quite go to plan!!

Seems it wont fit due to the standard intercooler I'm running at the moment.I reckon the intercooler needs to move a few centimeters forward.

I'm thinking cutting a bit of the front plastic cowling off the cooler and doing away with the two lower screws in favor of a couple cable ties. This should change the angle it sits and give me enough room to fit the brace.

What have other G40 owners done to get around the lack of clearance when running the brace??

Its been a while since I fitted mine (got it in the very first group buy) but I had no trouble at all. I'll just go out now and have a look how close it is.

Well on mine theres at least a good centimetre gap at its closes point on the right side of the cooler, I can only think that your cooler isn't mounted correctly.
