Ah whey! You've put the hours in before and your reeping the rewards now so can't be to shabby! I need to get my ass into a new job, sick of mine and doesn't pay enough. Anyway, back to 15s on a mk3, coffee morning is over

Tell me about it!

I get a car to test every week as of the 25th, saving petrol and wear and tear on mine, and allowing me to put money back into new stuff for the Polo.

I've done two launches this year (Defender and Fiat 500) and I've got two more coming up (Polo Bluemotion next week and Chrysler 300C in December)

I'm finally being paid a reasonable, if not fantastic, wage.

I'm in the same office as Car, which has led to a by-line in their Secret New Cars section for my pics of the new M3 saloon.

I'm also in the same office as Max Power, which got me into the drivers seat of a Caterham the other week and is going to see a Club Polo member get featured in the next few months.

I love it!

I did, however, come worryingly close to giving up, because getting here was shit, drained all my finances and left me doing really crappy jobs back home.

The Ring trips aren't work related though.

before back onto 15's, just wanna know what is your job? sounds well good

I'm a motoring journalist, I work for a business magazine called AM (Automotive Management). It's the market leader, but not a magazine people will have seen unless they work in a car dealership, garage or bodyshop. You can't buy it from Smiths anyway...

I love 15's on a mk3 but like poeple said it all about tyre choice and width and offsets.

Also i would have to use coillies to get te stance how i would like it on 15's.

i went 15's purely to fit brakes good enough to stop it.

here its got 15x6 G60 steelie winter wheels on.

You cna get good brakes under 13's, if you got the correct rims, like mine ;)

Machined Compomotive Turbos FTW!

if u want you are speedo to read correctly and you dont want you polo revving its tits off on motorways you are gonna want around the same overall wheel and tyre diameter as the original wheel and tyre combo. so basically if u want stretched or low profile tyres to match the origianl 13" wheels with high profile tyres your going to have to have 15's. however if you dont really care and just want it to look good and handle like a go kart 13's all the way! i personally like 14's best on mk3's.

well I've tried 15x6 wheels on mine and cant say the handling is any different what so ever to my 14x6s

i have a set of wheels like them ats's, there 13x6 but only have 4 holes....in the middle of bein polished! i have never seen a set so i thought u were worth a purchase! will post pics up when done :-)

It's so nice to hear someone agree with me!

I went down to 14x6 BBS, expecting they'd make it more go-kart like and they felt exactly the same as the 15s. So I put the 15s back on because it's easier to get tyres for them.

i actually prefer 15s to 13s. lets see i pic 15" rims because tyres are more common, more range and choice of tyres and you can get massive brakes underthem. whats not to like about them?
