How do i rebuild or fix a brake caliper?

Featured Replies

Its not on my polo car, but on my 1995 passat.

Basicly i cant get a new one anywhere, so i need to fix what i have. I seem to have a one year only odd car, i wish VW would stop doing that :).

I have taken it off, pushed it out with a G clamp and greased it twice, but no luck. I changed all the brake fluid and bled the brakes, but still no luck.

It only sticks on slightly, but after about 10miles it is smoking hot :(.

Any ideas? I'veheard soaking them in petrol can help?
