can anyone help me out, I'm looking to do automotive reupholstery course but how the hell do you get into this trade cos nowhere does automotive retrimming courses. i live in west yorkshire any adive???

I'd say do a general textiles course then work it out from there.

If you can sew, and can figure out how to take a seat apart, it's not hard.

you could try ringing around any companies in your area as they maybe able to tell you what you'd need to do.

Good luck to you. I haven't got the patience for doing stuff like that.

Don't think there are courses in Automotive Retriming as such. Its not really a 'course' style trade. It's somthing along the lines of Apprentiship style training.

Try as above phoneing round a few local companies and tell them you want to get into the industry. That your looking to be taken on as an apprentice or trainee.

I know alot of the upolsterers in work are just trained as Seam-stresses,
