Heated Seats

Featured Replies

Hello on all,

I am New, (only a member for few minutes) as I was searching the net looking for information. I found your site, liked it, and became a member. For those that notice my English is some what odd, I am a Yank, Living in Germany.

So much for me, I needed new seats for my 97 (6N) Polo, got some out of a junk yard. great they even are heated seats, so I cut out the switches, and cables. Now all I need to do is hook it up. Can anyone offer some assistance or a wiring diagram for this.

Thanks,

Tom

Hi! welcome to the forums. I'm surprised no-one's even said hello!

I'm good with electrics, but don't know about your polo, so can't really give exact advice. Clearly you need to get power to the seats, are they adjustable heat or just on/off ? If it's just an on/off switch then should be pretty straightforward, tho you might need a relay, as no doubt the seat draw a fair bit of current (don't know how much, just an informed guess).

Can anyone else help here? If not, post some pics of the wiring etc, should be able to figure out a plan of attack!

Good luck.

Welcome Tom!

Just saying hello and bumping the topic. I must say, we did have a 6n 1.6 GL import from Germany with heated seats... I can remember how they were hooked up though - sorry.

Anyway, again welcome to ClubPolo!

Thanks for the warm Greetings.

I have a variable switch for the Heat control. I also have al the connectors and about 6 inches of cable on each.

I have tried to find a schm. diagram but no luck thats how I found this Forum.

If anybody has Heated seats, and knows something about electronics they could tell me what color is hot, and which color is effected by the variable switch.

Any Help is better then NO help.

Thanks,

Tom

you need the whole loom, and 2 relays/controlers to make it work

the loom just hooks up to ign + , earth and dash lights

I've seen the looms for sale on ebay.de
