hi fitted my unit the other day...works fine with the ingnition off...but when i turn the car off it losses all the settings and the memory is wipe .... its a kenwood kdc unit. i no i need a power supply from somewhere in the car but where can i find one...I've looke behind the unit place and theres nothing apart from a black and red wire to the immobilisers red ligh? can anyone help me plz? cheers

Didnt you take the existing wires out of the old stereo, i had a problem with mine similar and realised i had mixed up the swich live and the live up,

yeh i tooke m out and plugged em into the new unit...theres one red wire which needs to sumhow be connected to the battery...might try and do it through the red and blac wire tho!

Just swap the yellow and red wires over.

I.e. Cut them in half and bullet clip/solder the wires together.. So red is on yellow and yellow is on red!

SOME, but not all Kenwoods already have the red/yellow wires with bullet clips on. so unplug and re-plug.

i have the same problem with my sony stereo everytime i remove the keys it loses all its settings.
