All i did was went 2 a scrap yard got a solenoid popper out of a ford KA also the button out of the front with the little pic on it of a car with the tailgate open, a good lenth of wire from my local electric store, drilled a whole in the front of you are car somewhere to place the button, take all your old mecanisum(if that how u spell it) out of the boot and pot rivit your new 1 in, in the right place. Then bend you are bar so it fits both wholes ie the 1 on your lock and the 1 on the popper. wire the boot part up ie solenoid, run the wire through the talegate down the quarter panal under the seats, under the carpet and to the whole where the button is going, link the wires to you are fag lighter wires to make the solenoid pop. test it works before fitting everthing back up, should work a treat.
