For those that cant read it or if i have cocked this up it says..

all jens ride needed was a few finishing touches to make it her own.

and later on...

you cant say its your car when you didnt do the work!

Its alway nice that the cars are show-cased, but would you really have the nerve to do it if you hadn't done the work yourself????

Its just not right.....

Unlike like the PVW with the poundie/kam article 8-) - credit where credits due and all that

Beautiful polo though Ross....

I would have been really anoyed if i had put so much blood and sweet into a car for some one to slap it in max power and say it was thier own!

Did you not have this features in PVW Ross?

Its the chance you take with flogging a very popular modified car.

I certainly do disagree though about the fact there is no mention about ross or even that the car wasn't done by her. Credit defo shoulda been given to whoeve designed and built the car basically.

Personally think there is absolutely nothing wrong with max power nowadays. Its a realyl good magazine that spreads its pages between almost every scene.....whether it be euro, jap, rat, retro, cali etc etc etc. You hardly ever see plastic fantastic features in it anymore. Just look at the TT on the front cover of noembers

Nope mate never had it in that...cannot really say its a performance car you see as no engine conversion....hopefully they will have the time to place a vr6 corrado lump in it which is what i wanted to do or even just a gti lump from a mk5

In reply to all of your posts....

I'm the one who bought the car from Ross.

My boyfriend who owns the Golf got the feature and he got asked if they could feature both of our cars instead so they could do like a VW couples type thing to which I said yes as he thought it was a great idea.

I didnt and NEVER HAVE taken any of the credit for anything other than what I have done to it which is change the mirrors cos they were hideous and the centrecaps, also a few bits of the interior. My main plans for the car should hopefully be done this year when i'll put my own stamp on it.

Max Power asked me who I wanted to say thanks to and I asked them to say thanks to Ross and explained that he was the previous owner and should have most of the credit - THEY DIDNT PRINT IT.

As you can see they messed up a lot of the detail in the article anyway so why you are all taking it as gospel anyway.. I'm not sure.

I took the feature because at the end of the day - a feature is a feature. I make my own decisions and who gives a damn if someone thinks Max Power is a crap mag? I do too but it doesnt mean I'm not proud to get a three page spread..

I even sent Ross an email in JUNE telling him about the feature and when it was due out. I even said in the email that he should be proud as he done all the work so really its his article.

In response to most of the posts though - Who cares who done the work. ITS MY CAR now and if I want to take the opportunity of a feature - I WILL.

I'm not being rude or obnoxious - I just hate the fact that you were all so quick to slate me when a) you dont know me and b) none of you even gave me a chance to respond or even think that I may have actually done the right thing - its just that Max Power didnt print it.

Bring on PVW.

And its like that...... HUH!!

This thread is fairly ancient now, and I think the score was settled a long time ago. In fact, I should've closed this after the first few posts and got rid. So, time to lock it.
