Fitting Rear Speakers

Featured Replies

hi,

iv got at 52 reg polo and pretty sure its and mk6 it the one with the round front headlights, anyways...

at the moment the car has speakers in the front doors and by the dash. i am looking to put speakers in the rear doors. iv looked and its clear that the space where rear speakers should go is empty. i was jut wondering if anyone would know...

-How to remover the rear intoir door panel so i could at least have a look?

-If people know weather the rear is conected up and just missing speakers? (very unlikley I'm gessing!)

-The best way to connect up the rear speakers? (where and how to feed the wires and stuff ect..)

-The size of the rear door speakers needed?

-If any other parts are needed?

and any other info!

cheers!

speakers on 9N polo are 6.5" midbass driver (165mm) and then the tweeter.

I would imagine the standard wiring loom would be in place with speaker connections already there. Take the head unit out and check if there are four sets of speaker cables in the ISO stereo plug (should have 8pins, rectangular thing)

if there is no mounting baffle you can make one from wood with a router and bolt in onto the door frame. or use these http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/speaker-adaptors-p-5443.html
