Hello all,

Just purchased a mk3, drove it home fine. Got up this morning and now the steering lock is stuck on!

Is this a common prob? I've been trying to get it off but have failed. Now have to take the fiesta to work!

Anybody got any ideas of what to do to solve this?

Right i have sorted it, anyone know how to remove the steering lock? I need to get this done A.S.A.P!

When you say steering lock I assume you mean the wheels locked on full lock and not a Stop Lock attached to your wheel?

My steering lock got stuck, and the wheel would jam if I went around roundabouts, took it to garage who fixed my tracking and the wheel gets stuck less now.

Edit: I've read what you said again... Mine also gets stuck on that, I was told by a friend that at some point in my cars life that may have been forced and thats why it gets stuck?

Yer its just a right pain to get off when it come's on. At the moment I'm leaving the keys in until i get out of the car, so i do not knock the wheel

Oh yer does anyone know how to dissable the steering lock? I've check a few post's on here and someone said its quite hard, may just get a garage to do it
