HOW LOW CAN I LOWER MY MK2

Featured Replies

trust me 8" wide on the rear of a breadvan is well wide enough!! Steffan 8" back and 7" front could look awesome if lowered properly and arches (especially the rear) sorted out. For steffan wheels of wider width check out www.ebay.de They have some crazy width stuff over there. Polo was definately a better choice than the corsa c.....by so far!! You paying for a respray or giving it a go yourself?? Who is doing the respray? What price you paying if you don't mind me asking. I could do with a mior bit of paintwork... Metalic paints are always more expensive to spray if you are paying. Out of the two i would go gunmetal grey but try and find a shade that not everyone uses....that would look good!! I personally would avoid 15" people may disagree but in this context i think less is definately more!!

Until a respray get polishing the car, can do wonders sometimes you know. Works better than you would think!! ]

I would get a GT engine in your car. Easier to fit, smaller, lighter (so less handling issues), and pull hard for a 1.3 and 75bhp standard in your little breadvan will seem pretty damn good!! I know it has been done before but triend and tested is better than running into a load of problems when it comes to engines!! Lots of other options though, research time i think!

My uncle is respray it for me most body shops are askin between about £600 to £800 to respray mk2s. And thankz for all the advice you have given me you have been truly helpful. Yer i might has well go for a GT engine cart be makein any mistakes now  cart aford to put them rite. so yer I'm going to go for the 14*7 & 14*8. its just that i see many small cars in mags with 9s on the back like i sore a renault twingo with 9s on the back it just makes me wounder could i :D .

There is an NZ engine for sale in the for sale thread for really good price that would be worth buying to upgrade your 1litre.... the only thing it has missing is a gearbox and that is easy enough to source i am sure. Would be a lot better than your 1 litre by a long stretch anyway. They can be tuned as well i think... don't know much on the subject though. Lucky you can get a respray i want one but cannot afford the huge price involved!! Get me in touch with your uncle  lol. Needs to have a look at anyways. you could definately get 9" on the back but it would be a hell of a lot of work and for that extra inch is it really worth it. Get the NZ engine if it still for sale, think it is a bargain for the price!! Keep us posted on the cra and how it is all going!!
