The show was pretty cool this year, shame that the marquee seemed a bit out the way but never mind a.

Think tht there needs to be more things on to make people mingle a bit more but part from that it was ace, stopped remembering things after about 10pm on sat night to wasted and sunday was a little bit of a blur to.

Oh an i went home with my new shinny Red G40 which ran out of petrol on the way home

Meet loads of cool people an will defo be at the show next year!! cheers guys

what a weekend!! Absolutely mental and we loved it!

the free drink on arrival was absolutely great and well appreciated.

We thinks a little more communal get together would be a good idea so we get to meet people sooner instead of when we are all mashed!! what happened to going to the fair in a big group on sat at 9pm ?

Camping area was a little confusing although it did bring people together, especially when people needed help in the dark to pitch their tents.

More trade stands is a must along with a notice board like someone mentioned for peeps selling parts (like me!) might make sales easier.

More competitions so more people get a chance to win something, even if they do win a potato!

Finally, maybe some entertainment in the marquee to draw people in (so i don't have to flatten my battery again!!)

Overall tho, a damn wicked friendly weekend. Congrats to the organisers.

See you next year.

I personally think that most of the success relies on the people attending, not just with the show organisers. I liked the sandbox freedom everyone had, having designated spots and sim-city style arrangements in the name of neatness isn't necessary until we're really spilling over the sides of the field.

For me personally, I'm glad I bought the slip'n'slide and the (stupid) doll, pretty mundane things in essence but the spontaniety offers a good half-hour chuckle and something extra to talk about, and I know better what to take next year.

More minor points of interest would be a good thing, but for me that just means bringing a pop-up table next time so that I can put my spare junk on a stand in plain view instead of in a plastic tub. The Polo-PP stand was good for a gawp in this way.

All in all, making the show a fully itineraried, pre-programmed and scheduled event would be a bad thing, because I loved the show as a free-roaming environment.

Me and the other clio boys had an awesome time was great to camp with the guys we did, Danny lee, Guy, and just to chill with Giorgio Lee Heartagram and Quinny in the camper Saturday night

cant of had a better time!

I want a heated Meadow in the Nights!!!

And Friday... or was it Saturday?? Evening/Night it all looked non organised when there were some old Golfs or what ever plus a Renault were parking and camping just f..king somewhere without any plans.... just park and build up the tents.. looked f..king shitty 4 me. 2 close 2 the first line of tents/Polos. Absolute no Space between.

No realy order... but thats not the fault of the organisers, they did a very very very very very good job, A+++.

But they can't control everything.

IN MY OPINION those non Polo-Cars should stand a little bit aside of the polos and not in the middle...

But plz not that every non Polodriver feel pissed off now.

ALSO JUST MY OPINION: Don't separate the camping from the show and shine part.... i mean let every car park normaly @ the tents/pavillions or where ever the cars normaly park on a weekendshow.

Take the normal 5 Pounds for s special sticker 2 stick on the top of the windscreen which shows everybody on the show that the owner wants 2 take part @ the show and shine contest. Thats the way i know it and the way it works best.

These are my Opinions which u ask 4 in this thread.

cheers

^^^ brought it on yourselves.......

have to say was F.A.F though lol!

i had a wicked weekend 3rd year running, and sunday was a massssssiiive turnout so fair play to those who made the trek for the 1 day!!

ideas-

- as said something in the tent would be good, i mean i would of been happy to leave the flog in there all weekend if i didnt need to set the tent up etc (mind u i ended up sleeping in the car anyway!!)

- camping wise i think its good the way it is, camping next to the cars/in them (saff sleeping in bucket seats!?! lol!)

- i think lighting at night would be cool- just like those little lanterns on the corners of the "roads"

- ^^ speaking of which, dont have "roads" marked out that lead straight into the canal cos i nearly drove into it on friday night lol!!

- errrm cant think of any others just now....

all in all top weekend and thanks to everyone who worked really hard in getting it all set up....

were some old Golfs

just aswell i drive a floG then :D :p

  • 2 weeks later...

I just mentioned I was here for the polo show when I paid at the gate, and I was given directions.

  • 2 weeks later...

i think it needs more advertisng i know there were at least 15 to 20 people that didnt show up cuz they cudnt find it oh and try get a bigger field (more space) (more cars) :finger:

The field was plenty big enough even with everyone spread out - and if you can't find the place, ask for directions, don't go home!

I was given directions at the gate too. If you don't ask, you don't know!

I think the field was plenty big enough. It seemed huge when you had to trek to the loo at 4am!
