I am looking for some new/different mirrors for my Mk2 coupe S. Want to be able to fit them myself without too much trouble. I was looking at Mk1 Golf mirrors. Anyone know if these will fit and whats involved in fitting them?? Not too bothered about the adjusters working properly but that would be a bonus if possible. Any help for either/both of us would be appreciated for either of us.

i thinnk FK might still do base plates but you'll have to check

just whip the mirrors off and colour code them, i did mine recently looks ace. i'll get a pic at some stage.

mirrors painted do look better but i think it works best on white cars. My car is helious blue.... think they would look a bit much. Like the black but they are just a little too big for my liking.... White ones look good though!! :-)

I do not know where you have been looking, but all Mk II/III Polo's and Sciroccos share the baseplate.

Are they autoplas door mirrors? Saw some similar to that but i didn't know what base plates would share the same fitting. The autoplas baseplate starts year 1994 for polos, would that fit. Sorry to sound like a retard but when i called up some companies that sell the base plates i asked if any others would fit and they said no?? Took the suppliers word....bad choice i see.

I what thous mirrors :biggrin: i saw them in demon tweets mag. But I'm shore i can get them cheaper some were eltes . Were did u get yours and the base plates. must tell mee plzzzz :-D . O and what colour is your car it looks like gunmetal silver looks good. I'm getting my car sprayed next month dont no what colour I'm stuck between gunmetal silver or silver helpp anyone. thankz
