STEVE_O Headlamp loom

Featured Replies

Just a quick question for you guys..

I think i've blown one of the relays on the headlamp loom I bought from Steve a long long while ago.

I'm just going to sort out a couple of new ones from maplin, but wanted to ask what the specification was.

http://www.maplin.co.uk/module.aspx?Module...y=18m9#overview

I think they are these, having looked at the diagram on the ones in the car, however, are they 40A or 30A? Are they SPNO & SPDT?

I assume SPDT stands for single pole double throw... but i've no idea what "N.O" stands for.

Any help would be greatly appreciated... my headlights have become a bit shit......

Thanks

Josh

the thread in the FAQ section tells you exactly what part you need and even the maplin's part code:

4 x 30 Amp SPDT 12V Automotive Relay (Maplin Code: N00AW)

NO means normally open, which means that on a single pole switch it is open when the relay is not triggered and closed when it is triggered.
