Coilovers you can adjust the ride height, springs and shocks the ride height is fixed. I'd go for coilies as they aren't much more money from Jackson Tuning anyway.

You can get a set of copilies for £130 saw them advertised on UK polos. They are a new product. One guy has bought some but hasnt fitted them yet. I'm waiting to see what they are like before i get a set.

I'm a bit worried about putting cheap coilovers on my car lol because I've seen a few peoples cars get damaged off them. I might get some shocks and springs until I can afford a more expensive set of coilovers.

Does anybody have any pics of their mk4 on some of the philj shocks and springs sets?

There is a thread in philJ's forsale section where he shows his kits fitted to all mk's of polos detailing how low wheel size and tyre size really helpful to decide how low you want to go.

Cheers mate, I think I want to go 60/40 like on this pic

He's running 14's on there though, has anybody got any idea if this would scrub if I used these with some 15" wheels?

With the correct tyres and offset should be fine.

personly id buy some good springs and shocks rather than cheap coiles, if you wnat your car to handle, but if you just want it low and not handle all that great (talikng from experince) buy cheap colies

upto you at the end of the day but i would recomend buying good stuff once rateher than buying chaep twice

I'm going to buy the fk highsports coilies when i get the money but I want something to lower it until then. I think I'm going to go for the shocks and springs.

i would wait to save some money, just get your highsports then...

Unless its gona take you ages to save for the coilovers, then just wait your time. Imo you'd be stupid to splash out on springs and shocks, and then start saving again for coilies... Just keep saving til you can afford the coils mate.
