Tyres fitters

Featured Replies

Is this likely to be a problem for some places? Its TUV approved sizing etc, but I'm ordering a set from blackcircles.com where they send the tyres to your garage, fitted, all included in the price.

I just dont wanna choose a garage and then find that they wont do it.

I mean its not UBER stretch is it?!

Ring the garage to confirm first? A mate of mine has 195/40's on an 8" rim, and could only find one palce in leeds to fit them at a decent price... Either a straight 'Not a chance in hell mate', or asking for a stupid fee.

Who wants to have liability of stretched tyres, not many! Ring around first is your best bet.

No its not UBER stretch, I'm running 195/40/16 on 8's i reckon i could stretch loads more.

i got 195'45 on 8inch. my local tyre guy put em on no probs. but i used part worns. said the are much easier to get on. 8-)

I'm guessing a decent tyre place will know what and what isnt TUV approved/legal no? If so then the place i have in mind will be no problem...

for a satrt tuv approval is for germany, secondly its just for the tyre and only fitted to a sensible sized wheel for its width prob 7j in this case.

thirdly your best bet is to get em sent to you and just spend a day driving about shopping for the cheapest quote at a place who are willing to do it.

Fitting a 195/45 tyre to a 8" wide rim is TUV approved
