Well to say it was a cracking weekend would be a slight understatement. I had a total blast.

Was great to catch up with the usual suspects and as usual meet some new people.

So here i have my photos from the weekend, tried to throw in some different pics to try and capture things best i could.

We set off from Asda in Aberdeen at roughly 8am on Friday morning - Mouse, Del, Imrie, Phil, Sarah, Pidge, Tav and I

We met with Andy, Ross and Scott at Perth - Unfortunately Andy had problems with his g40 not far into the journey and couldn't sort out a quick repair, so

Ross and Scott had to go back and get the trailer off Andy and he took the burner.

Whilst Andy, Ross and Scott were catching up we waited at Bothwell services in Glasgow where we were joined with Buster and Stupot. Was a bit of a wait for Ross and Scott, then we were on the road again.

We were running a little bit behind time by this point and traffic on the M6 held us up further. We eventually got to Sandbach where we met with Christian, Taylor, Finny and Walsh. After a break here Andy caught up, must have been a swift stretch there haha.

We arrived at the show at about 8 ish, we set up camp then much alcohol was consumed and the banter was just classic.

Over the Saturday and Sunday we just mingled, visited the pikey fairground, drank, BBQ'd, drank some more, and then the Show and shine on Sunday.

Phil came 4th in the show and shine on Sunday, we're all chuffed to have a Scottish car up there. Well deserved mate

This year we decided to camp for Sunday night as well and incorporate a trip to Alton towers in on the way home on Monday.

Sunday night was quiet to begin with, everyone gradually left the car-park and all that was left was the Scottish crew, the Germans and a lone Englishman by the name of Phil Wright.

It was a bit colder and wet that night so we decided to make full use of the Club Polo tent and all pitched up inside, as well as having full power inside haha.

An early start on Monday, packing whilst the folk were taking down the tent around us haha. A couple of convoy pics on the way to Alton Towers. Including Fil-rite and our German friends Christian and Rene.

Alton towers was a blast. Got a couple of good snaps. Sorry to all the guys in the Oblivion photo.. stupid faces alround. haha (Tav)

And thats about it really.

A pretty hefty journey home, alot of tired faces by the time we got back but it was well worth it yet again.

You lot were awesome, the late saturday night shoutdown was the best.

My favourite line was when there was a long quiet moment after a good half hour of it, and someone said:

"Is this the cue for me to go to sleep?......well it's NAE HAP'NIN - WAAAKE UUUUUUP!!!!"

To say I was "nipping on a bit" would be an understatement! From leaving Dunblane with the Wiesel - I didnt stop until I caught you guys up at Sandback. Which was a 200+ mile catchup!

The problem with the G40 9again) was the hall-sender in the dizzy. The RAC turned up to tow it home, my dad stayed with it after dropping off the Wiesel, said the battery was flat. Put the jumper pack on it and it started first turn. RAC guy said it must be the alternator! Ha-ha! Looks like as soon as it gets hot it dies, leave it to cool down for a while and it will start - classic hall-sender i'm told!

The whole weekend was a total blast - really enjoyed myself - even minus the G40! Next year I'll be in a Polo no matter what - even if I have to buy one off ebay the week before for £100!

It's our group of car-friends...a website yes...work in progress. There is some stuff there now but we are working on the proper version in our spare time. I think with all the Polo Show banter we will need to get it finished ASAP.
