I'm needing a bit of help to wire up the loom for my mk2 g40

I'm using the original mk3 g40 interior loom and cutting the mk3 switches and replacing with the mk2 switches as I'm keeping the mk2 dash.

I'm having problems with the light switch though as the mk3 one has more wires than the mk2 one.

These are the colours I've got and how I've matched then according to what i can make out in haynes as the mk2 haynes has oldskool wiring diagrams which aint the clearest

mk2 on left and mk3 on right:

Red---------------------->Red

Grey/Blue--------------->Grey/Blue double

Black/Yellow single----->Grey/yellow single

Black/Yellow double---->Black/Yellow double

Red/Grey---------------->Red/Grey

Brown-------------------->Brown

Black/Grey-------------->Black/Grey

White and White/Black->White/Black double

Not avaliable Grey (on g40 loom this goes to fuse box)

Not avaliable Green/Grey (on g40 loom this goes to Dip/Dim resistor, i dont have dip/dim adjustment on mk2)

Not avaliable Yellow (on g40 loom this goes to lighting rheostat, the grey stick thing next to the fuse box under the bonnet with a yellow wire

each end)

If anybody could help me with this, that would be cool, its the only mk3 switch that has caused me hassle. I'm hoping the three extra wires are not needed and i can delete them off the loom. I cant check to see if it works as te mk2 is just a bare shell at the moment.
