Is getting third party fire & theft insurance for my first car a good idea or not?

Quinn will insure me for £800 a year TPFT or £1500 a year for fully comp.

How much did you pay for your car?

I paid £1400 for it.

Then id say no TPFT will be enuf whats the point in fully comp on a car that is worth less than the qouted price

Thats what I was thinking, but I was worried that if I went TPFT and I ever had a bump that wasnt my fault the insurance company would just try to blame me since I'm only 19 and it will mean they wont have to pay out, would that happen?

TBH though, I wouldn't really want to claim unless someone nicked my car or burned it out because its not worth claiming unless its something big.

Well i was on TPFT on my first polo an i reversed into someone must have been having a bad day then :-) an as i didnt have any excess on my policy i just called the insurance comp an they sorted it out only thing they wouldnt cover was damage to my car but there wasn't any poor clio was recked tho

An if the other driver is at fault its there insurance comp who have to pay the bill not urs mate so i wouldnt think it would be an issue you just pay the excess which u would get back at a later date.

An if it does get nicked or stolen you are covered just make sure your aware of the excess it can be really high mate.
