I know that on the mk4 polo, an earlier model to yours that the clock was part of the dials on the main part of the dash, to change the time you had to twist the little stalk that comes out of the plastic screen, like the trip meter reset switch, only to the left of it.

Hi, I would but there is only one little stalk and that is the trip meter reset.

Hi Liz,

You dash has a single stalk (immediately adjacent to the the speedometer) which you depress to reset the odometer. Twist this knob to the left and hold it there to advance the time.

Ok, tks, will try this after work when I get back to the car.

Hi again, well I have managed to change the hour however, I can't see how to change the minutes. I twist the knob to the left and hold it to change the hour, are you able to tell me how to change the minutes? thanks
