whats the best and easiest way to strip the paint fo the car so ican prep it...

well if you want to go to bear metal i use grinder mounted wheels (like a trist knot wire wheel) from machine mart and screwfix

i paint stripper the paint wait till it dries then attack it with the wire wheel i usually wait for it to dry so it doesent go everywhere and when it gets on your hands it doesent burn like frig!

use homebase paintstripper!

Awesome shit - leave a nice heavy dose of it where you dont want paint - then return 20mins later with a anglegrinder/drill mounted wire wheel.

Now if your doing a respray then your best off rubbing the original paint down (wet and dry) then primer if needed (going from dark - light paint)

then paint over it

that was the original plan.. but they guy who had myc ar before has sprayed on top of red and i dont think the red was rubbed down properly as it started to flake in certain areas.. so might have to take it down to emtal or at least take the blue off and prep the red again...

wire brush/nitromors is too harsh for bodywork, just use wet and dry and a sanding block

use a pal or orbital sander to get the flakey stuff off then wet flat it back by hand.

i used notro mors todya but think i left it too long its gone all flakey but gone hard too.. looks ruined loool... so whats nnext step now? wire brush ro orbital sander? and if a sander what grit sand paper should i use??

u need an orbital sander that goes on a air compressor like bodyshops have.

If back to metal scratch the area, apply paint stripper wait a little bit then come back with a DA.

i've got a da.. theres 2 layers of paint to remove the original vw red and a audi blue ontop of it so ideally would be good to take it back down to bare metal... so what grit paper/discs would i use to remove the paint?? and if some can go through the stages too
