Anyone bought these MK3 G40 rear lights from anywhere other than VAG?

If its genuine OEM parts your after keep an eye out in the for sale section of the forum. Also some bits occasionally pop up on ebay. I have seen some dark smoked mk3 polo lights on there before.

The rear lights aren't G40 specific, any late spec Mk3 Coupe will have the half tinted rear lamps, so get down some scrap yards and keep an eye out on the forum/ebay.

Ring up Volkswagen and ask. Easiest thing to do.

Make sure you ask for late spec ones as the lights are NOT G40 specific. They vary from early to late spec.

about £80 each when i asked a long time ago for the dimmed / smoked ones new at vw, the original orange ones were about £70 each when i asked too.

i think gsf only do the orange rears, and they are about £30 each + vat

usually go for £35 - £40 tops for a set on here or ebay...

get to your scrap yard and pray they have some in
