If I remove these does it leave an indetation????

I was going to remove mine.. But will I need to then get it smoothed, ior is it just stuck ontop of a smooth bumper??

Yeah there's an indentation...plastic welding and filler/fibreglass needed

Think there is a thread somewhere about how to smooth the indentation using filler foam and a bread knife!! Looks like an awesome finish though. Also another thread and a guy does similar using fibreglass and his finish is top drawer as well, really detailed thread. Think it was on a red golf. I think the link was from on here though. Not much help but.... :-D

I smoothed my MK3 golfs bumpers using expanding foam..however there was alot to fill! I would go the plastic weld route for a polo though...not deep enough recesses for foam me thinks.

ye there are lots of holes...worth it though in my opinion

i would get it done properly that way you can get your splitter put on properly

Whole point is doing it myself.. Its half the fun of modification IMO

ukpolos have a guide on it.. but apperently the expanding foam method doesnt work that well.. could you not just take them off and spray them???

would you consider selling the sides, front and rears if you do take them off? could be interested as my cars the same colour with black ones.
