These badges were red and chrome so impossible to custom paint them thanks anyway anyone else any ideas

Is it just like a standard one but with red letters?

If so, the colour of the badge shows which engine the car has got in, the more red letters the more powerful the engine. (I know this is the case on other VW's so I'm guessing its the same on the 6n2).

Check ebay, there's a few with the red I but none on at the minute with the whole thing red.

Yeah my 6n2 already has the gti badge with the red i. I think they only released that particular badge on the 20th anniversary in america but cant get hold of one anywhere the original red badge also came with a chrome rabbit badge as well!

The all red badges are also a different font to the Mk5 GTI badges and are the anniversary badges off of the Mk4 Golf. The red I used to signify the more powerful engine but this is no longer the case

I found someone selling the rear red gti badge on e bay and a site that sells the original badge with the rabbit icon, in america but the price on the site is like 160 $ it must be a mistake. But no luck with the Grill badge.
