Was supposed to be buying some 2nd hand tyres on tuesday but my tyre has popped today .

I cannot get any 165/50/15s for the price i can afford

I will have to go for 165/55/15 on a 7J rim .

any pics please anyone before i pay for them in 2 hours time .. Iff there crap they aint worth the cashish .

Please help asap

They will physically fit but won't look as good as 50s. You will need a pair anyway because all tyres on an axle must be the same size.

Basically my tyres this mornig was at a real low pressure and i attemped pumping it back up only to see it deflate infront of me in under 5 mins .

I was planning on collecting some tyres from a fellow Club Polo User but now i will have to buy new ones i need to change all 4 to be honest .. fronts are warn and 1 of the rears is now damaged and wont stay inflated .

The only garage i can get to that sell tyres at a reasonable price dont have Bridgstone Potenzas or likewise any 165/50/15's

They have offerd me some 165/55/15s

I wanted to know if anyone has any piccys of this streatch as i dont want to waste my money on 4 new tyres ..

Looks like i am going to have to just get the tyres and hope they look okay .

Do you think that 175/45/15s will look better than 165/55/15's

I'm heading off in 15 . Supose i can get them to put 1 of each on and decide then .

Gutted .. Just had to get some 175/55/15s on the front for the time being .. 2nd hand things ..

I am going to have to go and get some more tyres next week .

what tyres were you running before?

i personally wouldnt run 165/50s on a 7j rim, I'm happy with 195/45 probs go for 40s next time but more surface contact is the reason for wider wheels (for me anyway) so id rather go for beefier tryes...

mytyres are quick and cheap, they can send them direct to a tyre fitters for you too. get some decent meat on those tyres and youll be laughin round the twisties

What's all this 7J stuff? I'm pretty sure 15" RAs aren't 7" wide... Or am I wrong?

I run 165/50s on a 7 for ages. Don't feel great but don't pop off and I had enough grip to keep my Lupo from being slingshotted off the road. At first I really disagreed with them but the longer I used them for the more I realised it was fine really.

If you were that desperate for tyres, should have went to the scrappy and got a set of steels for £20. At least then you could have chucked them in your garage after you were done and if you ever needed emergency wheels again you'd have a set.
