went onto www.emodifiedcarinsurance.co.uk & filled in all the stuff as me being the policy holder with all the mods. they quoted nearon £3500 fully comp!!!!!!!!

then i went on to see how much it would be under my dad and it came to £211.36!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

can someone tell me why please.

looking at your profile your 18 years old. Unfortunately starting your own policy at 18 on a standard car is expensive enough, let alone on a modified one.

i take it the quote for your dad was with you as a named driver or not?

seems very cheap yeah.

i was insured on my mums policy until i was 20 and it only cost me £100 on top of her premium

Then when i turned 20 and had 3 years claim free and no speeding offenses i got my own policy which wasn't too bad at all.

There are just so many factors to consider in insurance policies so its not a good idea to compare situations.

One thing i do suggest is that you just search around, and see what you can get.
