Wanted a MK2 Polo Coupe in Glasgow Area.

Featured Replies

I was just unlucky enough to miss out on martinhos' coupe S. :-(

So has anyone else got one for sale for the same sort of money i.e £50/£60 may even go £100 if there's some mot & tax on it & is within the Glasgow..ish area?

Must be running & in reasonable condition & not a rustbucket that's been sitting up someones drive for years. Not bothered about MOT or Tax as long as it's driveable.

I've been hunting for 8 months for another one, surely there can't be only 2 in the area?

Anyone help me out?

Dave.

Sorry for the bump, but this post was getting swamped.

There must be more than 2 MK2 coupes in the Glasgow...ish area.

I may be willing to go a wee bit higher on price......but not much.

I don't wanna sounds like a cock but you want a good car for next to no money in 1 particular city.

You'll be searching for ages I reckon!!

You need to broaden your search I would say. Either accept you may have to pay more money (£100-300) or you will have to travel for a car thats £50.

Not at all. You have a good point there.

But due to the car I'm looking for probably being used for spares, since I can't get the parts I need as parts, I don't want to spend a fortune on something that's going to get stripped & scrapped. Obviously the distance is a problem as any car I buy would have to be driven back to base, so not wanting to go too far.

Also if the car was good enough, like the one I just missed out on, it would obviously get put back on the road. I will NOT break a really good car. My prices are based on the fact that even 6 months ago, you could pick up a mk2 up here, with some mot for about £60.

sorry to say mate you will not get a car for that now. you can get £100 from a scrapy for a car so you will not get eny thing for sale for less than that.. you are going to have to spend a bit more cash to get a good car

Just beat me to it. It looked a good one too. Good luck with it.

Just hope I can find another one soon, especially one for parts, or I may have to scrap mine, even though it's just passed it's mot.

I know I said Glasgow...ish area, but that covers a lot of ground & cars in ayrshire, dumbartonshire, stirlingshire and any other surrounding 'shires' will not be ignored.
