Thats engine coolant... made up from water and a coolant mix / additive. Top up with water unless the expansion tank is empty in which case add some Coolant (Halfords, Car Store, etc)

Question to ask youself - why has it dropped? The coolant system is sealed and usually doesn't drop much / if at all unless over a long period. Was it recently between Max and Min, and now dropped below Min? If so how long ago did you last notice it was between Max and Min?

If this was within the last few weeks then you might have a wee leak that needs checked. No need to panic at this point, just top with water and check each day for the next week. If no change then check once a week for the next 2-4 weeks. If no change then most likley all good and you can go about doing whatever.

If it drops again druing the 1st week or subsequent weeks then maybe get it looked at.

well last time i checked was end of july before i went abroad for 2 months! it was near to the max level and it was parked up for that period of time.
