what engine are you using and what internals does it have? If it's an engine that's not normally forced induction and you're using standard internals then I'm not suprised they refused to map it. There's too high a risk that it'll blow up on the rollers and then you'd be trying get them to pay for repairs no doubt.

yes it running all stand internals at the moment but she was possed it couldnt be done i asked to speek to sumone to ask if i could order piston crank cams etc etc etc but she said no basicallY?

ANY other company that may be able to help me

Hayesey is right here, what charger are you using? and what engine is it? 2.0 16v?

So you've made brackets etc before making sure you can get all the other bits you need. Surely you've not gone about this in the most logical manner?

I'm using a m45 eaton of a bmw mini the engine is a 1.4 8v. i only after some advice on what i should do next!!! agrant twats fair play

the car is running but not very well i need upgraded parts.... and i need to get it mapped... where can i get upgraded parts.. crank pistons cam etc etc she just woulndnt let me speek to sumeon :doubt:

1.4 8v ouch hope you are running little or no boost.

I would try people like Pitstop or G-werkz. There are loads of traders on ED38.

But TBH i don't think you will be able to get off the shelf stuff.

6psi aint actualy driven it yet :paranoid: lol dont want to !! thanks for the adivce richie much apprcitated

your talking pretty much custom only tbh i think mate, its not a strong engine at the best of times and your just trying to ram air into it without the other necessary mods such as a different cam profile, a compression plate in btween the block/head, etc

then your looking at a standalone ecu coz the stock mk2 ibiza ecu wont take a remap like modern vws it doesnt have enough parameters in it.

its a shame coz you obviously have spent a good time making the bracketry etc but its not as simple as bolting it on I'm afraid.

tbh I'm not surprised at their response not only coz its too much work but they only seem to be interested in IHI conversions on newer 1.8t cars and modern remaps these days!! seem to have forgotten where they came from

all the better for the likes of pitstop and g-werks!!!!

i think you may need to do some research on forced induction engines first to get an idea of the diffrences between n/a and forced induction engines THEN decide what you need to be replacing/ custom fabricating

Thats what I'm on about the car is running I've had to loose my power stering pump!! lol i need to speke to sumone as to what to do next

you see thats the prob compnies wont tell you how to do stuff for free!!

what stage are you at? just the charger mounted yes?

you need to address the problem of the compression ratio, either by working it out properly and getting a head spacer made to raise the compression enough for the bottom end to handle the boost or the pikey way of stacking up head gaskets (not advised!),

iirc the 1.4 8v has a plastic inlet manifold correct? this would prob need binning and a ali one making with a proper plenum on it,

then you need to invest in an aftermarket ecu system such as emerald, megasquirt etc and make up a loom for injection and ignition,

the chances are you will need larger injectors or at least a 5th injector to supply the larger amounts of fuel you will need,

depending on how much boost you want to be running you might need to look at custom forged pistons from the likes of accrulite or wosner etc (sp?),

and I'm sure there is much much more

by the time youve sorted it you might has well have dropped a 2.0 16v abf in there and you would have the same power infact prob more for a fraction of the cost!!

it seems alot simpler to fit an eaton to a g40 engine because they started off life as forced induction engines, the only similarities tto them and yours are the basice block castings!!

Yes correct i do have a plastic intlet manifold. I'm not droppping a 2.0 16v in it no point like eveyother ibiza round my place!!!!! its only running 6psi at the moment but the ecu is confused as fuk!!! lol I've just emailed a spec list to g-works he said running @ 6 psi wont cause much problems on the internals. I've emailed him a engine spec and he emailing me back asap with a list of parts to run it @ 6psi safley

so are you actually doin this to see how far you can take the 1.4 8v or just for the noise/so you can say you have a supercharger?

I'm betting you will still need some sort of aftermarket ecu and the head spacer at least, to make it worthwhile.

i cant see the logic myself? but hey its your car!

its a project I'm ceeing how quick i can make it its not just for the noise!!!! I'm doin it cause no one else has done it in the uk i think... 1.4 8v superchraged

yeah it has been done before in the UK. AWTracksport have built one which was at a couple of shows earlier this year which was an M45 on a 1.4 8v with standard internals running low boost pressure. Jez's 16v beat it on the strip at Santa Pod.

oh yea iv seen that one!!!

guy who owns it is pretty sound

its white iirc

sorry to question you mate but it just seems people attempt to do stuff just to be the 'first' to do it when there is much more sensible ways to spend the money if you want a quick car.

sensible how?? putting a 16v lump in my car is more costly on my insrance than charging my car..

sensible as in cheaper to do and will actually make some reasonable power. As I said, jez's 16v was quicker up the 1/4 mile than the AWT car and jez hadn't spend anywhere near the £4k (if I remember correctly) the guy said the charger conversion cost him.

my point exactly

cheers hayesey

4k.... sumomes doin somthing wrong.... i bough my chagrer for £80 and all the belts pulleys etc etc came to no more than 100 so he had sumone to build it for him! pic and spec of this car then

oh god the white mk4 eaton.

Que Jez with the Video

6 psi is it worth it?
