mk4 polo coilovers issue...

Featured Replies

well I've beed examining birds coilovers and there is a funny slight knockign noise on the front passenger side, so i popped it on ramps and examined, no signs of any of the usual bushes gone...

so i looked and thought, hmmm, how odd...

here is one side and then the other...

one coilovers is about 2mm from the tyre, I'm sure it will touch on occasions...

firstly why is it that close? i cant see how it can be, are mk4's camber adjustable? coz they dont look it...

anyone got any ideas?

yep tracking and camber can be done on the mk4

yeah you can adjust the camber a little bit by loosening the strut-to-hub bolts, elongate one of the bolt holes if needs be.

christ thats close..i know on mine the underside of the car hits the arb and makes a knocking noise on the pass side,,its taken a small groove from the arb now..

yeh adjust the camber mate, as said loosen the hub bolts and pull the wheel away from strut and tighten. mine was like that after the crash, just camber nocked out.
