There are things like Matador, Semprit, Linglong, Marangoni, etc all made in Korea and the like come in around the £25 - £30 per tyre ...... don't bother tho, you'll find youself sliding about all over the place.

Never skmit on tyres, they're the ONLY thing between you and ther road.... and parking unexpectedly in a bush!!

Some of the mid-priced performance tyres are actually quite good for the money but you'll be looking at £30 - £40 ish per tyre. Autocar Tyre Test placed Barum Barvuis (SP?) 11th / 20 beating some better brands, Khumo and Intersate are also good so I hear.

Check out www.mytyres.co.uk they're doing Falken, Khumo, Firestone, Uniroyal, Pirelli, Goodyear and Fulda all in the £30 - £40 bracket, includes VAT and delivery to your door, you just need someone to fit them (another £30+ for 4 tyres)

If you can get Marangonis for £25, then do. They aren't bad tyres.

I'd rather go for Marangonis than Fuldas, unless they've stepped up their game a bit.

But - you don't want 195/50-15s. You want, if not need, 195/45-15s. If your car is lowered more than 40mm or so, it WILL scrub with 195/50s...

Cheap if you can get there to pick them up. Falkens come in around the same with Mytyres when you add in delivery. Falken's are a good tyre, pretty grippy, nice looks but my experience is they wear quickly so you end up buying again sooner so false economy to a degree!
