Did any mk.3 Coupe models have boot side carpets?

Featured Replies

Gonna be using my Mum's mk.3 Polo Coupe Boulevard as she doesn't use it much now and to save me clocking up the miles in my '91 Golf GTI 16V. Now some base Golf models didn't have the carpet on the sides of the boot, but higher spec ones did, so I wondered if this was the same with the mk.3 Polo? Also did any have carpet to the base? Main reason why I want the sides of the boot carpetted is because the paint is chipped and scratched on the sides + the carpet looks nicer anyway!

Cheers for any help!

Is that the sides, base or both? Also how much? Cheers!

^^^^^What he said. Very interested.

just re-read what you were asking. polos don't actually have sidecarpets that cover the turrets like mk2 golf carpets do,they only cover the area between the susp turrets and the back of the lights.

You can get spray-on rubber.

Its uses are only limited to your imagination :) but i believe its marketed toward the roofing side of building supplies.

I've seen a car sponge coated in it,looked like a rubber brick, but it was still as squashy and flexible as it was pre-painted. Mad.

Seems ideal for the purpose.

Imagine sneakily swapping your mates deodorant with some spray on rubber- that's a thought...

ah haaaaaa hahaha, cool

just get some sub box carpet, its nice a manuable (new word) you get push it in all the corners

easy and use home carpet glue to stick it down, friend done it in his civic, looks good.

or you can buy car carpet that you heat up and mould and it stays! £15 for a 6x5' sheet!

where does that come from?

The late spec mk3's came with them as standard, except the Fox models. G40's got them from the start.

I have a set of the rear side carpets in black for sale too, if anyones interested?
