My old beetle, used to get the front wheels over, after scraping the front valance, then scrape almost the full length of the floorpan! The back was a bit higher tho so was easier! :D

having to park up the road n walk to there house is far, far more appealing to them...

i so hate speed bumps especially the ones they put in retail parks, i lost my tailpipe going over one a couple of weeks ago, everytime i go over thm I'm like oohhhh ouch haha x

they're not too bad, its the triangular ones you wanna look out for

Triangular?

Well the only part of mine that kept getting hit was the centre box. So i removed it. No longer have any problems.

I agree that decked cars look better, but being able to use the crazy-golf style road system does require some ground clearance, these days.

I've always got a queue of people behind me when driving over them. Most people have no regards for their suspension. I'm lowered so got no choice

I end up with a queue too  I just pull over and let em past if I can cos i'd rather some idiot didn't go into the back of me trying to make me speed up.

I nearly got stuck at St.James park yesterday in the Multi Storey! lol...Then i met kam briefly and warned him of the perils at the stadium.

I always get hooted at for going slowly over some vicious table ramps, It almost hurts if I go over them faster than 10mph so everyone gets uber angry about it.

Yeah theres 2 really bad ones in cleethores going into mcdonalds. Worse speed bumps ever, will try find a pic.

ah here we go, like this basically, but it feels a lot higher than these when going over them

I tihnk i might no a place that has even worse bumps than these!

Il put a photo up tomorow...if i remembr correctly they are AWFULY HIGH!

they built a ramp at the entrance to my local shop. One sides just about possible in my car, the other side is way too steep and you stare at sky as you drive over it!

Who designs these bloody things? They should be shot!

i remember being lost in essex once in my REALLY low mk2 golf... driving about thinking about where the hell i wasn't, glancing a head but not really paying too much attention, spotted a B&Q car park and decided to turn around, suddenly, BANG front end of the car goes up!!! couldn't see the road, stamp on the breaks, eeeeekkk, eeeekkk, eeeeekkkk, eeeekkkk as the car bounces to a stop... this friggin speed bump made of brick or something was fecking MASSIVE, i, to this day have never seen one bigger... scarred the living shite outta me... very luckly, NO DAMAGE... vw build, thank god!

needless to say i got some funny looks from the people in the car park...

Those little square table top ramps are a right pain!

I cant put my wheels either side like everyone else as my bumper and the whole length of my car scrapes!

I just slow right down and crawl over them, have a big que of traffic behind me but just wait until I'm over the last one then give it beans and leave them all behind! lol

Beans after the last ramp is always funny, Until everyon catches up at the traffic lights!

you have not experienced bumps untill you have tried to get into topgolf in chigwell.

Next time i go there ill take a pic. One of them black and yellow bumps but its higher then normal for some reason and then a mahooosive concreet 45 degree climb up and done leading to another higher then normal black and yellow one.

I just park my car in the gym car park and walk it

MUST HAVE BEEN EMBARASSING

Anyone from blackwood/pontllanfrith will understand the maccy D speedbumps are a nightmare

there are 3 i think in a row, about a foot apart, you wheels dont get chance to hit the ground before you hit the next one

TOTAL NIGHTMARE!

:finger::finger::finger::finger::finger::finger::finger:

i HATE these fuckers, this morning i took a different route into work due to my main car park being full so i went round the back to the other one... to be greeted by one of these fuckers:

027008.jpg

i managed to get my car right over to one side so one wheel just missed it but it didnt help me much.. "THUD" i knew it was game over, my car got stuck! i tried to go forward but just ended up generating a cloud of smoke, and done the same in reverse... managed to get over it eventually, after gaining an audience of about 5 people, just built the revs up, stuck it in reverse and released the clutch pretty quickly.. moved slightly... done it 2 more times and eventually done the trick.... car smelling of clutch and rubber :puke:

sorry if that makes no sense, had to vent my anger some where!!

I know what you mean, there are a group of us "youngsters" at my work. I hate that term. Who have modified cars, so the MD from overseas implemented a policy of speed reduction on sight. Now no one drives like a pilock Or ever has, except for the reginal MD in his Aston. You can see where this is going..................Anyway the director had the yellow and black army installed while the MD was away on leave. So The following Monday upon his return, in his usaul dickehead manner he luaches into the car park floors it round the corner straight into............the black and yello speed HILL :x:lol::lol:

One aston with crushed front suspension, struts through the bonet and bumber on the groun in peaces :lol::lol: Needless to say us YOUNGSTERS were luaghing our asses off! Priceless. Moral of the story, as you sew, so shall you reap! mwahahahahaha
