Hello people. me and craig ( p20dub ) found me a car last night so the project can begin finally.

Its a 1.6 cl in a nice mettalic red featuring e/w, r/c/l, alarm :)

I've stolen craigs old Alpine headunit as it didnt come with one

also he has some bits laying around in his garage he said i can have to make it look abit better.

I'm sure he will make it look good for me.

Coilies on the way also. ile keep you updated but here are some pictures of how it looks atm ( needs some TLC )

Does make me wonder about the quality of the painting used on later VW wheels though lol - I've got 8 of the steelies from a Mk3, and they are all as they came out the factory near enough, and 2 Mk4 steels and they are ROTTEN. Same with my mates Mk4...

Any wheel plans yet then?

Well i would be driving it if my insurance docs hurry up and arrive but the post office wont except a faxed cover note so i cant get her taxed! So its stuck at craigs awaiting all the new goodies i have just bought her haha xx

Went to see a 1.4 the other day, loads of laquer peel on about 6 pannels other wise i would have brought it. it looks like salmon colour. Keep us updated.

Haha well its kind of a secret but i bought a new grill and a couple of other bits nothing major just yet part from my coilies!

Well obviously the engine is the 1st thing that needs sorting. It didnt come with any service history so Craig has said i need a new Oil Filter & Air Filter. Check the Cambelt etc. Then when the coilies get here they're going on. I'm going to clean up the wheels to start off with, well until next month when i will be purchasing my new wheels...not sure what ones just yet though! (open to suggestions!) love the chrome steffan rs's that are in the for sale section. If i could stretch to those lil beauties this month then i would have them right now! After that the plan is bodywork (i want custom bumpers too) & respray, interior etc! So much to do & I'm not sure in what order yet but its all going to be being done eventually! I would say what colour but i want it to be a surprise

i just need the funds to go with all these lil ideas in my head

Right here we go, muggins has been cleaning up the engnie bay 2night. i couldnt help myself.

I just kept looking at it all shitty and thinking I'm not working on that untill its presentable. so all the muck has gone from the painted parts. I've started to polish the cam cover and I've removed about a tree full of leaves

i really want them but if i dont i just found out a friend of a friend has a chroming machine thingy so i could choose any wheels pretty much just decing what though lol!
