i can hear the engine through my sub and speakers?

i have twin jbl 1000 subs, running of a jbl gto 4000 amp and fly 6x9 aso amped to it, i had a alpine head unit and had no problems with it now i have a pioneer more powerful head unit, and when i start my engine the alternator is played through the subs and speakers, loudly with the music

i went to motor world the said re earth it to the seat belt clamp did that and no difference

saw a mate he looked at it fiddled around and said the pre-outs were gone, go i got new phono leads and still its happening

any one got any ideas

I had this on an old headunit, got a ground loop suppresor for the RCAs and it fixed the problem. I think it's just a big ferrite ring, got mine from maplins for £8 I think.

you can buy a suppressor from halfords.

just wire it in.

instructions included.

cost a couple of quid

yer i ahve heard both of those work but i treid to earth it like you said but that helped a little but i could still hear it but not as loud

and how much does a supressor cost i heard that fixes the problem, properly

also make sure you haven't run all the wires down the same side, this can cause interference too

only cost a couple of quid.

they are about the size of a box of matches

i brought a supressor still no difference. but i found out the problem it was the head unit wasnt earthed properly all i then had to do was wrap wire round the pre-out and the connect it to the head unit. the reason it didnt wort first time was because i just shoved the wire in, hceers for all your help
