I've just bought my first polo. A 1990 Mk2 Coupe S. I am trying to work out where to put my front speakers - I got 6" Alpines.

Anyone got any ideas?

Best bet is to fabricate some pods up to go at the front of the door pocket.

i managed to squeeze some 6x9s into my doorcards, has to lose the pockets and cut a hole in the cards then it fitted a treat into the door cavity, worst bit was bodging the wiring through the doors, you gotta drill holes in the pillar and get a gaitor and odd bits like that. i mounted the speakers in some 6mm ply and covered it in the leatherette from the back of an old set of seats. bodge job!

Do you have any pics of your setup? I'll be sticking some 6.5" speakers in my doors soon.
