before any one mentions i have the guide and my mate form the garage has nt seen anything like this before so I'm kinda stuck basicly the new fornt shocks (philjs 60/40 kit springs and dampers) went on with only minor swearing but when all sortde and settled we noticed the top caps in the engine bay when tightend down now sit proud of the housing by about 12-14mm also when turning the wheels they now rotate is this normal on low polo s or should i have got new top cap in the kit or seperately any help much needed as need to drive tomor and would to know if safe to do so

oh dear i wondered why u wern't around last night! that doesn't sound right.... the top caps move when the wheels move.....

yeah tis a right strange one as we ve tightened them a fair bit just like tim does on his racin 205 only thing i can think of is clamp the new shafts with cloth and then mor tightening but just checked even with the car off the ground they are still proud so tightening will not do any thing as they are tight to the castle nut so confusin

drive it... if it breaks... crash it.... then claim on insurance.... lol

thats the only solution i can think of!

Have you tightened up the castle nut?

Did you replace the top mounts when you put the kit on?
