Hi guys i had my springs n shocks fitted today... 60mm drop.... its all good but i got a knocking sound coming from my suspension/engine bay everytime i do a full lock/half lock at low speeds... the left side knocks if turning left and the right side if turning right... this didnt happen before fitting the suspension so I'm a bit confused!

My mate has the same noise on his 106 mate...and i had it on ym old 106.

Check the strust top bolts are done up tight...infact all the bolts for that matter.

You could have a suspension component actually knocking on another part of the car mate, try and locate the noise further with a friend.

Something must be loose. or have some slight play in it for it to be knocking i would have thought

i fitted my own coilies and did not put in the existing mounts off the OEM kit so there was play, i ended up snapping 2 top mounts on the kit and the damper rods on both sides going through the bonnet! i would get ot sorted ASAP as it cost me a fortune to get sorted!!

yeh I've got the same problem with mine (fitted coilovers to my mk4) clunking when steering at low speeds....

am i right in thinking there should be (from bottom to top).... the coilover spring, then its top mount that came with the kit, then the metal bearing bit from OEM suspension, then the rubber mount ontop, then goes through to underside of the bonnet, has a nut on there, then the under-bonet round metal plate, then a final nut on top of that??

(sorry for my distinct lack of technical names of parts lol)
