I have owned a sexy lil mk3 polo for some time now, and the only thing that is bugging me is that it is WAYYYYY to far away from the dirt.

I've been looking in mags and on the internet for some shocks/springs or coilovers, but no-one seems to produce them for Mk3 polos????? Is this right???????

I don't wanna simply chop the springs cos I might wanna put the originals back on to sell(!) PLUS i like me teeth where they are at the moment thanks.

Do Mk1 Golf shocks / coilies fit ok? Are there any modifications that have to be implemented to allow these to fit???

Does anyone know of any decent shock/spring combi's or coilovers that work well on a polo?

I'm kinda stuck. One of my pals has FK Silverlines on his Mk2 golf, but I wasn't overly impressed - they are not very soft so you end up biting your own tongue off if driving down a country lane faster than you should.

Any help would be appreciated!

Yes you can get Mk3 Polo coilies. PhilJ on here sells them, prepare to have £600ish ready and no Mk1 Golf ones won't fit.

And try doing a search before asking this sort of question as it was asked about a week ago at the most...

loads of companies produce just normal shocks and springs lower kits, what magasines have you been looking in that didn't have any of those?

One of the best shock & springs kits is the H&R Cup Kit. PhilJ sells them in the Jackson Tuning forum here, £270. It lowers the car 60mm at the front and 40mm at the rear. That'll look mint on 13 or 14 inch wheels and you retain some practicality.

Coil overs...£650 fro Gaz...£856 from H&R. Both companies require you to send the front struts off to be re-manufactured into coilovers.

If you're skint then canny go wrong with a budget Jackson Tuning kit- 120 ish iirc.

If not then the HnR kit is the way to go but more expensive as Tav says.

Both kits have adjustable rear shocks.

someone should pin this, for future refrences ! so people would'nt have to keep asking.

OOOOH how can i lower my mk3? I dont think they make coilovers for it, can anyone reccomend a good springs and shocks kit?

(It would be worth getting my arse destroyed to be given a set of HnR coilies!)
