Wheels and Tyres: BBS Rm 15x6.5" fronts and 15x8.5" rears, firehawk firestones allround 195/45/15's

everything else is pretty much standard from there, just wanted to show it at the start and then add pics as i mod.

next jobs: gettin the arches done next week at the back,

fk coilies next month,

black rear badge came yesterday and my gti grill with black badge should be here next week along with the pressed plates

any other ideas would be greatly apreciated, cheers

looks nice mate, should be pretty sweet when you get it lowered and your grill etc...

looks wicked mate even though its not that low. will be one cool car when its lowered on those awesome wheels!!

whens it lowered it will look even better

you should get some wider dishes on the front to make 8" wide then get some camber shims on the rear to give more clearance

Well nice mate. What mike said bout the front wheels for sure...or just get a lower profile tyre on the fronts.

got the gti grill on now with black front badge also debadged the polo and tdi off the boot with a black veedub badge on there too, Should be buyin the lips for the front wheels from shantybeater

next month, cant wait till its lowered!

The tdi motors are pretty damn decent if i must say so myself... 100 hp plus is possible easily with a remap... oh and it doesnt drink at all.... i did a round trip from East london to Mansfield (notts) for about 20 quid... lol and was at a steady 100 all the way! lol... on a side note... the cars pretty sweet Rye... jus get the thing dropped!!

Think am gonna stick with the 195's for now and as for the running of the car its ok but not even close to how fast i want it to be, big k is right with the

fuel, i could drive this thing all day and still have enough to get home! gonna post some new pics 2morra, its not dropped yet but a few slight things have been changed. I've been talkin to my mate about a conversion, he said i could drop a 20v turbo lump straight in so gonna look into that maybe, what kind of thing were u thinkin of for yours?

I'm gna speak to a fella at my local specialts who tune diesels, I'm gona see how much power can be had out of the 1.4tdi motors cos I'm thinkin of doing that but i am unsure,

I'm just looking into different ideas atm.

Wheels will suit it so well when lowered, colour is gorgoeus too!

are you gonna do the conversion yourself or are you getting someone to do it? I'm doing this conversion into my mk5 come the summer. which engine you thinking of using, 150bhp, 180, or the 225bhp??

not too sure really, insurance purposes may decide things, gonna get a friend of mine to help me. wont be till the middle of next year anyway till the rest of the cars done, what about you? wots the plans? rye

you might av more bhp than my tdi but how much torque you pushin out, you car looks mint though mate.

I'm going to use the 150 engine from an A3 or mk4 golf to try and keep insurance costs down, then maybe get a remap later on to reach 200bhp. I'm planning on starting the conversion in july (i think I'm gonna get someone to do the majority of the work to get it done quicker, and for piece of mind) but up until then I'm going to put rear discs on, and upgrade the front brakes, basically prep the car as much as i can and scorce as many parts that'll be needed so the actual conversion is as easy and problem free as it can be. :-D

the front one is just the original silver badge, just got some wet and dry on it then sprayed it, the rear badge i got off ebay, theres loads on there

cool sounds like a good plan, would be a fast little beast! I'm thinkin of buyin the engine soon as I've got an idea which one i want then start polishing the head an shit so it looks mint once its fitted, hope it all works out for you mate anyway :-D
