that looks nice and simple mate. i wanna do the same sort of thing with mine but I've gotta find a decent sub and amp package for about £100 first. if you dont mind me asking how long did it take you to do it and how much?

thanks

£100 sub & package and the word "decent" dont really come int he same sentence mate.

Your best bet with that budget is ebay really..

Thats not strictly true mate although most of the time is it haha

this is a half decent package

Your probably not going to do better for the £££

Sorry back on topic ;)..........

My mate had this sub package, tbh mate, its pritty wank. for a budget would be a Fusion package, for about 130 pounds i think. TBH i wouldnt consider any sub package under £200 decent. I would call it Budget.

Sorry back on topic ;) ..........

for a little bit more i'd choose the newer 12" version:

JBL stuff isnt actually wank, for the money you will NOT get a better setup brand new!

Fusion suck balls tbh.

i got the mutant sub and amp package from halfords that was 100 and I'm very impressed with it :p needed to replace the door and dash speekers too though

took me about 4 hours all together.

and materials just cost around 20 quid. (audio was £70 all together......)

Got a bottom board (couple of inchs up from the bottom of the boot floor) which the amp is screwed to.

then the top board which is an inch or two above that and i cut a frame out of it and put the glass into it.

then just carpetted it all and staple gunned it to the board.

Simple, looks good, and i can still put stuff in my boot!!!!!!

luke

looks good luke!

if i was you i might invest in some sort of grill/cage for the sub as its on the floor.

:)

what u mean its on the floor mate?

what will the grill help do?

cheers

luke

your sub is facing upwards on the floor.

if you put stuff in your boot, it will be on the cone.

it risks damagin the cone and wont work with stuff on it.

putting a grill over the sub will protect it.

eg, if you put a box of something in the boot, it will sit on the grill rather than the cone.

get me?

ah right okay.

its still early!!!!!

When we met up the night before i'd built this bit of woods together which basically went over the whole sub acting as a shelf over it so i could put stuff on it.

i'll just use this i think.

thanks though matey.

what wheels u got again?

luke

ah ok.

grill would be better as would let sound through more but meh, aha

dont think I'm selling now mate. sorry. will contact if i change my mind tho :)

Its okay, this shelf that i made lets the bass out still.

what make and model though.

may invest in some.
